Mankato Area Youth Baseball Association (MAYBA)

Mankato Royals 13A ends regular season 26-1.  

The Mankato Royals 13A team finished up the regular tournament season with a very impressive 26-1 record.  The team won tournaments in Eastridge, Mankato, Eagan, and most recently Lakeville.  Their only blemish was a 4-2 loss in the championship game at the Rochester tournament.  The team has scored 753 runs, an average of 13 runs per game, while giving up 86 runs, an average of 3 runs per game.  The team batting average is .418, and the pitchers have combined for an ERA of under 2.00.  Team members are:  Austin Ruedy, Jacob Portner, Conor Beckel, Jack Allan, Nate Kleist, Tyler Hoppe, Braxton Matuska, Jacob Sweere, Chris Pipes, Nick Bode, Josh Johnson, and Tanner Stengel.  Head Coach is Mike Matuska, assisted by Paul Allan, Tom Kleist, and Gary Pipes.  The team is off until they play in the MBT State Tournament July 20-22, and then at the Gopher State Tournament July 27-29.
