In-House Scholarships
The goal of the Mankato Area Youth Baseball Association is to make our program affordable for all participants. Through our association with the Greater Mankato Area United Way and Connecting Kids financial assistance is available to assist those players who are not able to pay the total costs associated with playing youth baseball. Financial assistance through the Scholarship Program is limited to a maximum of 80% of the player registration fee. Our scholarship funds are limited, we ask each family seeking aid to pay what they can afford.
The primary criterion for qualifying for financial assistance is eligibility/participation in the Free and Reduced Lunch Program. You may be asked to submit a copy of your letter with your request. If there are unusual circumstances and your child is not currently enrolled in the Free and Reduced Lunch program, you may submit an explanation of your situation.
Applications for financial assistance must be made by a player’s parent or guardian. Financial assistance applications will be held in confidence between the parent/guardian and Connecting Kids.
Connecting Kids will determine the amount of the approved scholarship based on the information provided. You can expect to receive a response to your request within 48 hours. If you have not heard back please contact Connecting Kids at 507-207-3042 as your application may not have transmitted. If approved, you will receive a discount code to use at registration check-out. Applying for scholarship does not register your player to play during the season. You must still register your player.
Receipt of financial assistance for a season does not guarantee financial assistance will be provided subsequent seasons; a new request must be submitted for each season.
